Hannah Balkenbush, a fourth grader at Glen Rose Intermediate School in Glen Rose, TX, was the 2nd place winner this year in the Texas Water Utilities Association annual essay contest. The theme of the contest this year was “The Texas Water Cycle – From Parched to Plenty.”
After reading her essay aloud, Hannah was presented with her 2nd place ribbon and a $100 prize from TWUA by Karen Siddall, public relations and education administrator with Prairielands Groundwater Conservation District at her school this morning in front of the entire 4th grade, teachers, principal, and mom.
